The Art of Creating
The work of Marlene Boonstra is predominantly centered on the relationships between people, places, and the things that matter most to them.
Marlene is both a teacher and a student of art. Her principle concern is helping others to recognize that creating is an act of both profound importance and visual reflection. She believes that through nature and relationships, we are able to better understand the world we live in.
Commissions
Marlene began as a portrait artist many years ago and continues to take commissions for portrait work as well as other subjects. She finds great pleasure in creating a unique work of art that captures a meaningful event or experience for others.
